Milford sits on the Big Blue River in Seward County, just off I-80 west of Lincoln. The town takes its name from an early mill at a river crossing and was platted in 1866.
Today it has a brick Main Street, its own public schools and the Southeast Community College Milford campus, which started as the state trade school in 1941.
